Fred van der Tang
Chief Executive Officer
Better never stops, or as Einstein said ” the important thing is not to stop questioning”.
As the CEO of Make It Cheaper, Fred leads the team in our pursuit of solving our customers’ needs – making sure we save them time and money again and again!
Prior to joining Make it Cheaper in 2017 Fred held various leadership roles in service focused organisations across a number of countries, where he was instrumental in building winning teams, winning the hearts and minds of customers.
Chief Operating Officer
Passionate about making it easy for businesses to save time and money on their energy bills.
Jeremy is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Make It Cheaper Australia. Since starting the business in 2010 he has worked to save tens of thousands of customers millions of dollars on their energy bills.
Prior to Make It Cheaper, Jeremy worked within the finance industry for over 14 years, implementing world-class business critical technology systems for some of the leading investment banks.
Chief Financial Officer
It’s beneficial to have facts to make a decision, but gut instinct shouldn’t be underestimated
Tim has worked at Make it Cheaper since 2014, and is responsible for the financial management and reporting of the company.
Prior to MiC, Tim was as Financial Controller at Overbury PLC, part of the Morgan Sindall Construction Group based in the UK. Other finance roles have included time spent in the recruitment sector with Adecco Group.
He has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Chief Commercial Officer

Chris joined make it Cheaper in 2018 as Chief Commercial Officer leading all things product,and data for our people, customers and retailers.
He has extensive experience in customer-led commercial roles in product, CX, sales and marketing across energy, insurance, telco and airlines, in Australia and the UK.
Chief Marketing Officer
Do what you love, love what you do – and do it all with passion and authenticity
Jen joined Make it Cheaper as Chief Marketing Officer at the beginning of 2022 and is responsible for the development and growth of the MiC brand, digital new customer acquisition and customer retention strategies.
She has spent almost 30 years in Marketing & Strategy, starting out in advertising agencies where she worked across a diverse range of industries before moving Client-side to American Express and more recently humm Group.
Head of Partnerships
Successful partnerships are beneficial for all involved and managed with an emphasis on trust
Mark is responsible for all Corporate and Strategic Partnerships at Make it Cheaper, working with membership groups, professional Associations, trusted business advisors and technology partners and their respective members, customers and users.
Before joining MiC Mark spent more than two decades in the media industry, delivering dynamic marketing solutions across multiple industry and audience segments and building profitable long term agency and client partnerships.

Since joining Make it Cheaper in 2017, Doug has led a team of large Commercial energy experts who work with with some of Australia’s biggest energy consumers achieve their savings and sustainability goals.
Doug has a long history of experience in the energy sector across energy retailing (small and large), poles, wires and metering, before finally landing his focus and passion as an intermediary.
