Vic residents may be interested in sustainability plan
Residents looking for ways to improve their energy efficiency at home may be interested a new strategic plan to help Victoria become a more sustainable place to live.
The plan released on September 21 is part of Sustainability Victoria's (SV) new three year initiative, which will focus on improving waste management and resource efficiency.
Minister for environment and climate change Ryan Smith said sustainability is important for the Victorian economy.
"The state government is committed to supporting Victorian households and businesses to reduce pressures on the cost of living and cost of doing business," he said.
The overall aim is to create more sustainable outcomes and job prospects from the development of green clean technology in the state.
This may be a great time for households to review their electricity provider to see if there is a better deal available for them.
"The government, through Sustainability Victoria, has already announced a number of programs that bring to fruition these principles of investment as part of the Conserve, Invest and Save strategy," Mr Smith concluded.
With a greater emphasis on energy and resource saving strategies, now may be the time for you to assess your electricity supplier and check how electricity prices compare across a range of different providers.
