Finding the best mobile plan for you

Given that it's the new year, why not make it your resolution to reduce your phone bill and save yourself some hard earned cash?

There are a number of ways to do this, first of all - review your plan. It's pointless to pay a monthly rate that affords you data and calls that you don't use. If you are a fairly irregular phone user, then think about finding a smaller plan.

By the same token, if you use your phone a lot but your plan doesn't cater to that, get a bigger cap. This will be more money a month, but you will save cash in the long run if you don't get charged each bill cycle for exceeding your allocation of calls and data.

If you are out and about a great deal - whether its with friends or at work, consider getting rid of your landline. You could potentially save money by doing this and increasing your allocation on your mobile. The increased cost with your mobile may be exceeded by the savings made when ditching the home phone.

Should you be unhappy with your provider, compare phone plans to see if you are getting the best deal.
