Electricity suppliers have warned that some residents had their power cut yesterday (January 28) as a result of flooding.

Ergon Energy customers in Warwick and in areas around Chinchilla and Dalby have seen their power go - with more problems expected to arise due to water overflows.

Urban Warwick customers have been affected, while 120 customers in Goomburra and 34 residents in Junabee and Swan Creek are without power because crews can't access the areas that need work.

Examining the feeders in the air by helicopter didn't work because of difficult weather conditions.

Chinchilla residents have been inundated with water, causing 80 properties to lose power.

The Myall Creek was flooded but only resulted in two Dalby properties being disconnected.

Most of the feeders supplying council pumps have been restored in Toowoomba after a recovery effort from the deluge.

As of yesterday, there were 160 calls from customers who reported damage to the low-voltage network.

About 5,000 customers in Toowoomba were affected by an interruption to the power supply as a result of a circuit breaker in the North Toowoomba substation.

A falling tree that hit power lines saw the eastern suburbs cut power to about 1,000 customers in the eastern suburbs.
