Apple releases impressive third quarter financial results
Technology giant Apple has released its 2012 fiscal third quarter financial results - and the figures continue to be as impressive as ever.
An astonishing 26 million iPhones were sold during the period from April 1 to June 30 2012, alongside 17 million iPads and 6.8 million iPods.
All those big numbers add up to a total quarterly revenue of $35.0 billion and a quarterly net profit of $8.8 billion for Apple, compared to revenue of $28.6 billion and net profit of $7.3 billion over the same period one year ago.
If you want to get on board the iPhone bandwagon, than you'll also want to make sure you are on the best mobile plan to suit your needs.

"We’re thrilled with record sales of 17 million iPads in the June quarter," said Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook in a press release issued July 24.
"We’ve also just updated the entire MacBook line, will release Mountain Lion tomorrow and will be launching iOS 6 this fall. We are also really looking forward to the amazing new products we’ve got in the pipeline."
Mr Cook went on to note how excited he was about the future of Apple, with a range of innovative new products apparently in the pipeline.
