Senior Program Manager

Make it Cheaper is on a journey to significantly change its business model, moving from a monoline energy comparison service heavily reliant on phone sales into a broader and deeper SME support resource that provides an easy and intuitive way for small business owners to manage the operation of their business delivered through a scale of voice to digital self-serve capabilities.

This is a significant and lengthy project that will involve restructuring all aspects of the business and as such requires rigorous program management to deliver successfully. It will span all workstreams of this transformational project and touch all aspects of the MiC business.


  • Program governance and management to deliver complex projects
  • Defining project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Defining resource requirements and managing resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party.
  • Delivery of program reporting including risk assessment, actions, issues and decisions (RAID)
  • Outlining a budget based on requirements and tracking costs to deliver project on budget.
  • Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.
  • Managing delivery of the project according to this plan.
  • Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
  • Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.
  • Leading critical governance discussions and deploying communication and training strategies.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on operation risk event mitigation and remediation as required.
  • Managing the relationship and communication with the all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to satisfaction.

About You

You will be a driven individual who can demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills. You will be able manage your individual outcomes while also considering the end-to-end process you are a part of.

Specific skill sets include:

  • Strong technical skills and a solid understanding of software development.
  • Business & commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management
  • Analytical skills in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project.
  • Mathematical and budgeting skills.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • A good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.
