If you’re transferring your energy retailer, your switch of provider occurs at the time of your next scheduled meter read. As meters are usually read every three months, the switching process could potentially take three months. You will then receive your first bill from your new retailer after a further three months, this bill will be for the first meter read after your energy transfer so you will really notice a difference!

Your provider will change at the time of your next meter reading after speaking to a member of the Make It Cheaper team and arranging your switch. As meter readings occur every three months, this change could take place up to three months after you initially made the decision to change.

For example, if your meter reading was in June and you called Make It Cheaper to switch in July, your energy provider will switch on your next meter reading in September.
