Telstra stops charging customers for paying their bills!

Due to an unsurprising number of complaints, Telstra have made a U-turn on their decision to charge small businesses and customers $2.20 for paying their telecom bills.

Back in September Telstra decided to incentivise small businesses and residential customers towards paying their telecom bills electronically.  The approach they took was to introduce a fee for paying a bill in person or by post.

Due to the number of complaints, it would appear customers felt their needs haven't been met by this approach to move them towards making payments online.

Make It Cheaper says "Customers are the most valuable part of any business, getting them the best possible solution for their needs and keeping their interests in the forefront of your mind is critical.  The upside of this being increased custom as well as customer loyalty."
