but the NSW Government are proceeding with plans to transfer
EnergyAustralia retail business to the private sector.
As well as selling gas and electricity, Energy Australia is a
distributor, running one of the largest electricity networks in
Australia. Their network covers over 22,000 square kilometres
across Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter regions, supplying more
customers than any other network in the country. In their 2007/2008
Annual Report EnergyAustralia declared $574 million revenue.
EnergyAustralia provides electricity to over 1.6 million homes and
businesses.
EnergyAustralia provide services ranging from electricity and
gas supply, to energy management and renewable energy alternatives.
EnergyAustralia has customers in NSW, Victoria, and the ACT.
