large national energy retailer. As well as supplying gas and
electricity, Country Energy is one of Australia's largest energy
distributors, covering 95 per cent of the area of New South Wales
as well as small parts of Queensland and Victoria.
Country Energy reported earnings of $259.2 million in their
2007/2008 Annual report and 870,000 customers. Country Energy
offers residential customers electricity, natural and bottled gas
as well as water services to customers in some parts of New South
Wales (with the option to choose source part of their energy from
renewable sources via the countrygreen tariffs).
For businesses, Country Energy offers all this, as well as
services such as lower-cost lighting solutions and demand-side
management. Country Energy retails to customers spread across New
South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and
the Australian Capital Territory.
