The Make It Cheaper team

The Make It Cheaper team is made up of Tim Wolfenden and Jeremy Elliott.  With experience across energy, telecoms, finance, online and e-commerce sectors, Tim and Jeremy launched Make It Cheaper in October 2009, providing Australian business owners with their first dedicated comparison and switching service.

Tim Wolfenden: CEO

Tim is the CEO of Make It Cheaper Australia.  Tim cut his teeth working for one of the UK's leading comparison and switching services, uSwitch.com. He has a strong track record in delivering world class service solutions for both householders and small businesses.

On the challenges facing Make It Cheaper Australia, he says: "Comparing the services, products and prices offered by energy, telecoms and insurance suppliers always reveals a cheaper deal to be had for the small business owner.  The issue is small businesses find comparing these products and services time consuming, and unfortunately they don't always see that there's a benefit in doing it.  The challenge we have is to show the small business owner that there are great savings to be made, and they're easy to make with us."

Jeremy Elliott: CTO

Jeremy is the CTO of Make It Cheaper Australia.  Jeremy has worked within the finance industry for over 14 years, implementing world-class business critical technology for some of the leading finance players.  More recently, he joined the Make It Cheaper UK team to bring their technology into the 21st Century.

Following these successes, Jeremy's next challenge is to bring these high class solutions to the Australian business, on this he says: "Technology is the backbone of any business.  With the right solution, technology will ensure a quality service is simpler to deliver, so we can focus on making things cheaper for business owners.  Being involved in a start-up business in Australia is a fresh challenge from a technology perspective, but I firmly believe that whilst we are a small team at the moment, from little things big things grow."

Liam Tunney: Business Team Leader

Liam joined the Make It Cheaper Team in December 2009 as a  Business Team Leader.  Liam has a strong background in both B2B and residential sales, having worked extensively in the telecoms industry in Ireland.

Liam's move to Australia has led him to switch to the other side of the fence, and start helping businesses pick the best deal for them, on this he says: "I've always loved sales, but in the past, selling for just one business, you know deep down that the deal you're selling may not be the absolute best.  With Make It Cheaper, we are 100% certain that the deals we're recommending are the best for the customer.  Working with the team here is great fun, and I'm really looking forward to helping save businesses more and more money."
